(More customer reviews)I am so excited to finally get a pop-up canopy.I picked the lightest canopy I could find at the store. If you've seen my arms, you'd know I have no muscles. My husband was against getting this thing, so I don't think I could convince him to lug one around for me if it were heavy.
First night I got it, I took it out to see if I could set it up myself. It was a bit of a struggle, because I had to walk from leg to let to pull it apart. It's doable, though, with a bit of work.
Yesterday, I took my 5 and 8 year olds to the lagoon and they each held one leg while I pulled the other two legs.Weighing in at 25 pounds, it's quite light and each child was holding about 6 pounds.Even my 5 year old could pull her end.Doing it that way, setup was much quicker and easier.I had it up in minutes.
Taking it down was even easier. My 8 year old held one leg and I was able to collapse it without any trouble.
It fits perfectly in the bag, which was outfitted with wheels.I dragged it along behind me back to the car. That was a long walk and it did start to get heavy; but the wheels performed as expected and I'm glad they were there.
The whole thing appears quite sturdy. The bag is nylon and may fall apart with time.I hope not.If it doesn't hold up, I will come back to update. So far, it's everything I've wanted in a pop-up canopy -- quick and easy setup with plenty of shade for the family.
