(More customer reviews)This makes a really nice table for a beach umbrella, with one caveat.
There is a PVC sleeve included, that fastens to the shaft of the umbrella and upon which the table rests for support.
The trouble is, the PVC sleeve is drilled and threaded for 1/4" threads and a nylon thumb screw is provided to thread in the sleeve and tighten against the umbrella shaft providing the friction to hold up the table and whatever you place on it.
So we have soft nylon threads torquing against soft PVC threads - this can't work for long without the threads stripping and the table falling.
What I did was to drill two holes in my umbrella shaft, through the PVC sleeve, and install two #12 stainless pan head sheet metal screws to secure the sleeve.
Now the table is firmly supported. Took three minutes.
