(More customer reviews)I just got my umbrella two days ago. I had been waiting to buy a new one all summer long. I, of course, was looking for the perfect sale. My first Market Umbrella bought the dust when a huge windstorm ripped it from the stand and sent it sailing last fall. I got my first umbrella for $20.00 at a discount store but it was pretty substantical and lasted a few years. When my son brought the box in from the garage and exclaimed..."Your new Umbrella is here Mom!" I was overjoyed until I started to set my new purchase up. It did not have the heftness of my first umbrella which I thought was a bit strange because this one was supposedly marked down like 60%.......NO BARGAIN even at a Bargain Price....the very first gust of wind that hit it and one of the spines snapped like a twig. After looking closely at it the joint appeared to be placed over a knot hole or someweakness in wood. No wonder this one snapped so readily!!! Lesson learned. I thought maybe I could possiblely replace the broken peice with one from the old umbrella and I noticed that the older one had spines twice as thick. I could not replace it either because of the cheap way this new umbrella was constructed. Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you...
